Responding to Rishi Sunak's calling a General Election, the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for West Worcestershire, Dan Boatright-Greene said:

“I very much welcome the General Election, it could not come soon enough."

"I was democratically selected by the members of West Worcestershire Liberal Democrats over 18 months ago. Since then I and the team have been knocking on doors, delivering leaflets and working tirelessly to help people across our constituency.

“For years our area has been taken for granted by an out-of-touch Conservative Government that has failed to get the basics right and lurched from crisis to crisis - now it’s time for a change.

"The Liberal Democrats are second in West Worcestershire and I’m campaigning to be the next MP.

"As a local councillor I have a reputation for listening to and working tirelessly for residents.  I will maintain that same proactive work ethic if elected to be West Worcestershire’s next MP.

"I take nothing for granted, which is why you will see me campaigning across the constituency to show there is a viable alternative to the Conservatives.

“Local health services have been brought to their knees, people’s mortgages and rents have skyrocketed and water companies have been allowed to pump their filthy sewage into our rivers and beaches. All this by a Conservative government more interested in fighting between themselves than standing up for the hardworking people of this country.

“Every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for a fair deal. It’s a vote for a party that will stand up for our community and our health services.”
