Dan was first elected in 2019 to Wychavon District Council. He was elected to the County Council in 2021. As a resident of Pinvin he is also a parish councillor.
Dan has a background in archaeology and geology. After being a teacher for 11 years, he stepped back from his career to focus on local politics.
Dan has a strong passion for education and improvements in disabity rights. His priority is always that residents are listened to and solutions to problems are found. For too long local people had been taken for granted by out of touch councillors.

Liz was originally elected in the late 1970s, and has represented the Pinvin area at District or County ever since. Liz stood down as County Councillor in 2021, but remains a District Councillor for Pinvin.
Liz is passionate about local politics, and always strives to ensure that residents' voices are heard. Liz has succesfully campaigned for local improvements to the road network, including the new Northern Link bypass, and youth services.

Phillip, a relatively new member who got involved in the party in October 2024, after we saw his potential and encouraged him to stand for council. He's now a Pershore town councillor and unitary candidate; he's keen to grow the team and provide training and support. Phillip is also looking to run social events for members and supporters, such as: Lib Dem boardgamers.

As the title suggests, the President of the local party is an honorary position awarded to someone who has given great service to the party and who offers support and advice without any formal duties.
In some local parties, the President might be a national party figure, like an MP or member of the House of Lords, who offers to mentor the local team. Other local parties honour someone local who has worked long and hard in their borough or constituency.
The Liberal Democrats have a strong and proud tradition in local government.
For the Liberal Democrats, local government is key – localism, community politics, and a real commitment to devolved power are all hallmarks of the Liberal Democrat approach. We pride ourselves on working hard “all year round, not just at election time”.
Every week, Liberal Democrats in every part of the country knock on thousands of doors, deliver Focus leaflets, attend community meetings, and speak to residents to find out what local issues people really care about and how we can help them find solutions that work for them.
Liberal Democrats are responsible for billions of pounds of expenditure at local government level. From parishes and small districts to core English cities such as Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle, Liberal Democrats have run local authorities of all shapes and sizes in every part of the country. In many others, we have worked in coalition with other parties (including both Labour and the Conservatives) to deliver effective and affordable local services for all.
Liberal Democrat councillors and campaigners have come together to form the Association of Liberal Democrat Councillors (ALDC), which has represented councillors and grassroots Liberal Democrat campaigners across Great Britain for more than forty years. ALDC provide advice and support to its members, giving them the tools they need to campaign in their communities.
In England and Wales, Liberal Democrats are very active within the Local Government Association and the Welsh Local Government Association on lobbying, media work and identifying and promoting best practice and also within the Liberal Democrats local government family.
